| MY TRIP TO DRAGON-CON 2002 |

|
I have been getting excited about this trip for so long I
can't remember exactly when. I arranged for the trip many months ago through my travel
agent. I have been packed for the last two months. Now I am on my way to the Vancouver
Airport where I will get on a plane that looks exactly like the one pictured here.My knees
are shaking as all those last minute questions come to mind. Did I........? |
| Well you know the rest. I am sure that everyone asks
themselves the same questions. Then begins the fastest two hours of my life. First the
ticket check-in then customs and then on to the plane and the moment of truth. Once you
are up there it really is quite beautiful, looking a little like the Meringue on the top
of a lemon pie. They look soft, but they can be quite hard as I found out on the Houston
to Orlando leg of the trip. |

When I arrived in Orlando, I was greeted by Steve and taken
to their beautiful home in St. Cloud Florida to meet Darlene, his wife. They are both
really nice and all their animals are great fun. They grow bananas,
pineapple, oranges and other great fruit in their back yard. They also have a pond and
palm trees and lots of birds. They even have a turtle. That among dogs, cats and a rabbit
make visiting them a treat for anyone visiting them. Thank you both of you, I really
enjoyed my stay. |
| Steve builds models suitable for filming. The models are
made with great care and detail as can be seen here, right down to lights. He even has
landing bay lights on the battlestar. While this particular Battlestar was not used in the
original series It could have been, as this is the type of model used for such purposes.
Steve is also an accomplished artist, and we hope to be showing you his art soon on this
site. |
